South of Reading Christian Fellowship

General Information for Visitors
Who we are
We are a medium size family-
We have links with other Churches and ministries locally, nationally and abroad and we receive regular visits from recognised Christian leaders. We are simply a group of Christians, that is, those who have experienced a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
We try to cater for everybody from the youngest upward, we welcome both families and single people from all backgrounds and races. We hope that you will be blessed as you fellowship with us. The experience of all who have joined us is that they have found a warm and friendly atmosphere and experienced the love and presence of the living God.
If you are visiting, please tell the welcome team at the entrance door so that we can show you around. A visitors book is available if you want to be kept in touch. We also have a monthly newsletter containing more information including what is happening over the coming months.
Core Values
Christian teaching and education is at the heart of our programme and one of our main thrusts. We teach the full gospel. Our core beliefs can be found on the core values page. We practice baptism by immersion for adult believers (we have our own baptistry) and we dedicate babies.
Fellowship
Children: We have a large number of young people who go to one of our Sunday school groups:
Youth: We run a youth bible study group on Sunday morning for 13 years and above. There is also a youth fellowship group that meets regularly.
House Groups: We have a number of house groups locally around Reading and further afield, meeting weekly for bible study, prayer and fellowship.
Other Meetings: Please see the Regular Meetings page.
Service Times: These can be found on the Regular Meetings page. We meet on Sunday morning with communion ever 1st Sunday. We also meet Sunday evenings with communion every 3rd Sunday.
What to expect in a Sunday morning service
We normally worship the Lord led by our music group for around 30 mins followed by notices. The children and young people usually leave the service at this point for their own groups. The morning message taught from the bible follows for up to approximately one hour. Sometimes we have visiting speakers. There are regular opportunities for prayer for healing.
We usually meet for tea and coffee afterwards. We also have a bring and share fellowship lunch alternate months.
What to expect in a Sunday evening service
We normally worship the Lord led by our music group followed by notices, testimonies, and a message taught from the bible. The service is usually smaller than the morning service and therefore has a different atmosphere.
